For in Him we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:28a KJV kingjamesbibleonline.org) There was a story that I heard about a wrestler that won competitions and received wrestling belts, as a prize. The belts were made of ‘heavy’ gold. The wrestler wore the belts on a boating trip. The boat was about to sink. A rescue boat came. The wrestler could not get into the rescue boat with the heavy belts around his waist. The weight that became a sin for the wrestler was his desire to hold on to the belts (his prize in this life). Rather than losing the belts and saving his life, the wrestler held on to that which he valued greatly. What do we value or prize? Is there anything hindering us from following Christ wholeheartedly? Let us focus on The Lord and come to Him. He is The Savior of our souls. Amen.
