Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly… (Proverbs 16:18-19a) Pride may be expressed in various ways. It may be stated, I can do what I want. (There are consequences for sin and rewards for doing GOD’s Will.) Statement: That don’t phase me. (The Word of GOD is for everyone to adhere to, not just for some. When we repent and turn to GOD from sin, we can be forgiven and have new life.) Statement: You can’t tell me what to do. (We are accountable to GOD. JESUS is our Judge.) It is not meant for us to live on our own accord. When we were born (naturally), we went our own way in life. Through faith in JESUS Christ our Lord, we are born again from above (spiritually). We are dependent on The Lord. We need Him. Thank GOD for JESUS. Let us walk humbly in obedience to GOD.
