Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. (Mark 10:21-22 KJV Bible, Thomas Nelson 2016) JESUS is our healer. Healing is not always physical. It may also be mental, emotional, relational, or spiritual. The rich ruler wanted to inherit eternal life. He did not realize that he had a heart issue. Below are a few heart issues that scripture gives us a remedy for… “Pride”, Remedy: Esteem others better than ourselves (see Philippians 2:3-4); “Greed/Selfishness”, Remedy: Give (see 2 Corinthians 9:6-7); “Covetousness/Envy”, Remedy: Be content, love (see Hebrews 13:5; 1 Timothy 6:8; 1Corinthians 12:25-26, chapter 13). May we turn to GOD regarding issues of the heart, that we may be healed.

Prayer: Father GOD, Thank You for loving us, and being patient with us. Help us to seek You and Your Will for our lives more than anything. Heal our hearts from any, and all heart issues that we may have. In JESUS’ Name. Amen.
