A wise man is strong, yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength (Proverbs 24:5) The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason. (Proverbs 26:16 KJV kingjamesbibleonline.com) The confidence that a sluggard has is so strong that he convinces himself that others are doing too much, or that his effort (working) is not worth it. [There is a statement that says that the younger generation would be weaker, but wiser. This is a statement, yet, not a scripture. There are scripture verses that relate to the matter.] JESUS commends an unjust steward for being shrewd in his dealings, more so than the children of light. (see Luke 16:8) 2 Timothy 3:4-5 speak concerning the last days… traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. [Physical weakness deals with the inability to lift or carry heavy things. Weakness may be the inability to deal with pressure or problems. Lack of self control is due to weakness. Therefore, weakness is not only physical. It is also mental, emotional and spiritual. We are weak by nature. When we walk after the flesh, we walk in weakness.] GOD gives us strength to obey His Word. He empowers us by His Spirit to walk in His Ways.
