But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,(Philippians 3:7-8 KJV Thomas Nelson Bible, 2016) Apostle Paul had many accomplishments, though his passion was to pursue The Lord JESUS. He suffered much for the sake of the gospel, yet continued in ministry. …for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:11b-13) Sometimes we have more than at other times. Some circumstances are pleasant, while others are not. But godliness with contentment is great gain. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. (1 Timothy 6:6,8) To know that ‘It is well with my soul’ is valuable. To know that JESUS is with us, and that He will never leave us, is of utmost importance. (see Hebrews 13:5) Praise GOD for JESUS. Amen.
