… I am come that they might have life, and that more abundantly. (John 10:10b KJV Thomas Nelson Bible, 2016) Abundant Life starts at conversion. {A statement made by Sister Marcia regarding JESUS’ death on the cross… If He doesn’t do another thing for me, what He did on Calvary is enough.} 2 Corinthians 9: 8 says, And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. GOD supplies our needs, and more than what we need. He also gives us some of our wants. That which GOD gives to us is not only physical or material. The love of GOD in our hearts that is shed abroad (see Romans 5:5)… is part of abundant living. The joy of The Lord that is our strength (see Nehemiah 8:10)… is part of abundant living. The peace of GOD that passeth understanding (see Philippians 4:7)… is part of abundant living. Longsuffering is patience with people – Pastor Robert Jeffress. This is part of abundance in Christ. Gentleness is part of abundant living. GOD is gracious toward us. (see Psalm 86:15) He helps us to treat others with consideration and kindness. Goodness is part of abundant living in Christ. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life… (Psalm 23:6a) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17) To be meek is to have a humble heart. We are not to repay any man evil for evil. (see Romans 12:17) Through faith in JESUS, we have been forgiven of sins. GOD enables us to forgive those who offend us. This is part of abundant living. Temperance is living a balanced life. This is not a compromised life, rather an integrated life of modesty and self control; allowing one to receive and give, to mourn when it is time and to rejoice as well, to be a servant and leader at the same time, and so on. The preceding fruit of The Spirit equips believers in The Lord JESUS to walk in abundance, for the Glory of GOD. Thank GOD for Who He Is and His many blessings. In JESUS’ Name. Amen.
